The New Construction Program works with prospective building owners and developers, design professionals, and construction contractors to deliver high performance buildings that provide improved energy efficiency, peak load reduction, improved systems performance, and greater comfort.
Energy savings will be accomplished by simulating incremental improvements of efficiency in lighting, HVAC, and other building systems. The program seeks to capture synergistic energy savings by encouraging the design and construction of buildings as integrated systems.
The Energy Center of Wisconsin provides design assistance services to improve the energy efficiency of non-residential new construction projects.
The services consist of technical assistance provided on an as needed basis, for requests approved by WPPI Energy. WPPI Energy offers financial measure incentives to owners to overcome barriers to installation of efficiency measures, and design incentives to design team members to help offset the cost of advanced designs. WPPI Energy also utilizes prescriptive financial incentives available through the Focus on Energy program that provide incentives for individual technology upgrades.
